Well is certainly has been a great fall here in the Pacific Northwest.  The days are officially longer than the nights and we are spending more time in the studio.  Most of what I have been working on this month is related to a tile show that we will be attending this Saturday in Seattle.

As part of Artisan Tile Northwest we will be showing our city scape and newer sgraffito tiles at this October 1st event.  We have been having fun with this newer (for us) surface decoration technique.  But I also must confess that I had a bit of a glaze malfunction in this last load out of the kiln – and so will have less of this style work than I had planned at the show . . . . better luck next time!  But I am loving the freedom of the technique and the truly one of a kind results.  So expect to see more of this work in the future.  It still amazes me how much trial and error goes in to getting something right.

Here is some information on the tile show;
