According to Webster:

1. A profound change in form from one stage to the next in the life history of an organism.

It is official – I handed in my badge and keys last week and now I am – Unemployed, underemployed, or a full time potter!  The jury will be out on this one for a while . . .

All kidding aside, I am excited and a little anxious about starting this new phase of my work life.  Mostly excited.  For the first month I have some special orders that I will be working on – as well as our semi-annual open house and the Sorticulture fair in Everett.  Beginning in July, I hope to be taking a more purposeful approach to my work. I have this stack of paper in my workspace that is a collection of sketches and/or ideas that spring up when I don’t have time to act on them, and get filed in a large pile.  I think I will allow myself some time to go spelunking through this collection and see if anything still interests me.  And then – play with the ideas that emerge.
